Happy Nowruz

 Nowroz, also known as Norooz or Persian New Year, is a festival that marks the beginning of the new year in the Persian calendar. It is celebrated on the first day of spring, which usually falls on March 21st or 22nd. The word "Nowroz" means "new day" in Persian.


Nowroz has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran, Central Asia, and other parts of the world. It is a time for family and friends to come together, enjoy traditional food and music, and exchange gifts.


Some of the traditional customs and rituals associated with Nowroz include:



Cleaning the house thoroughly before the start of the new year

Setting up a "Haft-Seen" table, which is decorated with seven items starting with the Persian letter "sin," representing different aspects of life such as health, wealth, and wisdom

Jumping over bonfires on the night before Nowroz to ward off evil spirits

Visiting friends and relatives during the 13-day Nowroz holiday period

Nowroz is a time of renewal, reflection, and hope for the future. It is an important cultural and religious celebration for millions of people around the world.
